Job Details:

• Work telemetry unit with 1:5-6 patient ratio on 32-bed unit
• Must have prior travel experience and minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin)
• Must have experience with diuretics (Bumex, Lasix) and anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin)
• Must have experience with insulin drip titration
• Overflow IMCU unit handling arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary conditions
• Handle post cardiac catheterization patients with TR bands and DKA management
• Occasional orthopedic or CVA patient overflow
• Use Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice
• Rare call with 2-hour response time
• Holiday work requirements based on number of holidays during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation

The facility features modern equipment including respiratory services available 24/7, high flow oxygen systems, and BiPAP capabilities. The organization maintains interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
