Workflow Developer (Flowable / Java / Spring Boot)
Location: FHLB Atlanta
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Interview Process: 1-2 stages (remote + possible in-person)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Workflow Developer to join our CMS project team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Flowable (or similar BPM tools) along with a solid background in Java and Spring Boot to design and implement business workflows and integrations.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain business workflows using BPMN, CMMN, and DMN standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Implement and integrate REST APIs with Flowable Work

Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot

Ensure application security using Spring Security and OAuth2
-
Optimize performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

Use tools such as Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
-
Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and web development

At least 1 year of experience with BPMN tools (Flowable or Camunda preferred)

Strong understanding of process modeling standards (BPMN, CMMN, DMN)

Proficiency in Spring Boot and RESTful API design

Experience with Spring Security and OAuth2

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills

Understanding of Flowable architecture

Experience with microservices architecture

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Basic knowledge of front-end technologies ( HTML, CSS, JavaScript )
