About the Role:
The PHO - ZEPHYR Assistant Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by supporting the primary server and ensuring smooth service operations. This position focuses on assisting with guest needs, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and facilitating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. The Assistant Server helps to expedite orders, deliver beverages and food items promptly, and address any guest inquiries or requests with professionalism and courtesy. By efficiently managing these tasks, the Assistant Server contributes to a welcoming atmosphere and helps maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role is essential in supporting the overall efficiency and success of the restaurant team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Basic understanding of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Assist primary servers by delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables and replenishing supplies.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and prompt order fulfillment.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries to enhance their dining experience.
- Support the team by performing side work such as refilling condiments, polishing silverware, and restocking service stations.

The Assistant Server utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact effectively with guests and team members, ensuring clear and courteous exchanges. Attention to detail is essential when delivering orders accurately and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
