Assimilation & STC Coordinator, Sandy Springs Campus
About the role
This is a full-time, Sunday–Thursday position at Christ Covenant. The purpose of this role is to oversee and execute the assimilation process at Christ Covenant Sandy Springs, guiding individuals from their first point of connection with the church through membership and into service on a team. The Assimilation & STC Coordinator will report to the Campus Pastor at Christ Covenant Sandy Springs (CCSS) and contribute as a member of Christ Covenant’s broader discipleship team. Below are the expectations for this role that the employee will be responsible and accountable for during each of the performance review cycles.
What you’ll do
Serve the Church
- Oversee non-ministry-specific serve teams such as connect team, lounge team, safety team, etc.
- Schedule Volunteers
- Work with serve team leads to ensure they are equipped for Sunday services
- Assist the STC Coordinator with the preparation and implementation of the Serve the Church emphasis at Sandy Springs
- Sunday Coordination
- Attend service planning meetings
- Maintain a welcoming environment for Sunday morning services
- Be available to answer any “day of” questions on Sundays for staff and volunteers.
- Check in with and support serve team leads.
- Serve as the on-site primary point of contact for deacons regarding Sunday morning service needs.
Member Assimilation
- Execute assimilation workflow
- Assign pastoral follow ups
- Assign testimony approvals
- Send transfer letters
- Effectively communicate to member candidates.
- Oversee and manage “ First Sunday” event at Sandy Springs
- Create registrations
- Recruit, schedule, and confirm volunteers
- Prepare all materials including making copies for all attendees
- Order and confirm delivery of all food
- Assign someone to lead the host training
- Collaborate with the Armour Assimilation Coordinator to plan and execute the quarterly New Member Orientation
- Oversee and manage Sandy Springs baptism workflow
- Coordinate and schedule baptisms
- Assign person for baptism trainings
- Assemble and distribute baptism gifts
General
- Must be a committed member in good standing of Christ Covenant Church
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Manage relationships with staff, elders, and committees
- Ensure that all work efforts align with the stated staff values of Christ Covenant
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church’s statement of beliefs
- Character congruent with biblical requirements
