Job Requirements

• Active RN license (must be valid for assignment location)
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience, preferably in surgical trauma, post-op, or critical care settings
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA); NIHSS certification required
• Experience with trauma, burns, orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and complex surgical cases highly preferred
• Experience with CRRT, dialysis, and Open Heart recovery is a plus
• Ability to work within a 75-mile radius restriction
• Strong critical care assessment, ventilator management, and medication administration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients in the STICU (critical care nursing)
• Monitor, assess, and rapidly respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced life support as indicated (ACLS-level interventions)
• Care for patients requiring CRRT, dialysis, and post-open heart recovery management
• Accurate documentation using MEDITECH and adherence to unit protocols
• Float to Medical ICU as needed if STICU beds are limited
