The Chief Financial Controller will oversee the company's financial operations, accounting functions, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial controls. This individual will work closely with ownership and department leaders to provide accurate financial information that supports sound business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, customer-service focused, and capable of translating financial data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting and financial reporting functions
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Monitor job costing, profitability, and operational performance metrics
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
• Work closely with ownership to support strategic planning and growth initiatives
• Assist department managers in understanding financial performance and opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks, and financial partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
• Previous experience as a Controller, Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience in landscaping, construction, service, manufacturing, or other blue-collar industries is highly preferred
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
