Job Title: Dietary Aid

Location: New York, NY 10065

Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Pay Rate: $31/hour

Schedule Details

• Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (7.5 hours each)

• Pattern: Alternating 2 days/week and 3 days/week

• Weekend Rotation: Required

• Additional PRN Shifts:

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aid to support NICU and pediatric patient populations in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in nutrition services and a passion for delivering safe, accurate, and patient-centered dietary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support nutrition care for NICU and pediatric patients

• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and distribution in accordance with dietary guidelines

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

• Accurately document dietary information using electronic systems

• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and dietary team members

• Maintain high standards of patient service and safety

• Perform basic calculations related to nutrition and dietary requirements

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Associate Degree in a related field – Required

Certification:

• Food Safety Certification – Required

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of dietetic or dietary services experience – Preferred

Skills:

• Strong computer proficiency

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Solid math and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Vaccination Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine – Required (Medical Exemptions Only)

• Flu Vaccine – Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions or Declinations Allowed)
