Safe Ambulance is a Non-Emergent transport service located in Georgia with a wheelchair and ambulatory division covering Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. We are looking to expand ambulance operations in Dublin with immediate openings available.

Being an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) is an incredibly noble and rewarding profession. Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by college-level course work.
  • EMT Basic, AEMT, Certification from a recognized EMT training program and EMT-Intermediate.
  • Current licensure from the State of Georgia.
  • Must be insurable by Safe Ambulance drivers insurance policy.
  • Successfully passed physical examination including Functional Capacity Exam lifting up to 200 lbs safely with assistance.
  • Must be willing to work all assigned shifts and locations.
  • Legible handwriting and ability to use electronic reporting equipment.


Principle Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Administer first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons in pre-hospital settings.
  • Must have manual, visible, and audio-metric acuity to operate equipment such as external defibrillators, and bag-valve-mask resuscitators in advanced life-support environments.
  • Perform or assist in the initial assessment and management of illness or injury to emergency patients in accordance with specified protocols and procedures.
  • Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
  • Maintain vehicles and medical and communication equipment and replenish first-aid equipment and supplies.
  • Observe, record, and report to the physician the patients condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
  • Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management, and heart monitoring during ambulance rides.
  • Coordinate work with other emergency medical team members and police and fire department personnel.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and treatment center personnel to provide information about the situation, arrange the reception of victims, and receive instructions for further treatment.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of patients for transport, ensuring compliance with emergency medical transport regulations, protocol, and procedures.
  • Lead, guide, and/or assist in the training of lower-level techs and/or students as specifically assigned.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Inspect emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.
  • Complete and transfer patient care information and records as per established procedures.
  • Comfort and reassure patients and patients family members.
  • Drive an emergency vehicle (including during stressful situations).
  • Take every reasonable precaution to maintain security and protection of sensitive data.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required:

  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the application of basic on-site emergency medical protocol and procedures.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of the use of emergency medical transport procedures, facilities, and equipment.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Ability to perform standardized emergency patient care activities within established protocol.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to other EMT staff and/or students.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical equipment maintenance regulations and policy standards.


Licenses/Certifications/Requirements:

  • Valid & current State of Georgia Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic, Advanced, or Intermediate.)
  • Valid & current Class C Georgia Drivers License.
  • Valid & Current CPR card.
  • Pass background checks.
  • Pass drug screen.

Safe Ambulance/Safe Dependable Care is a private medical transportation service that fulfills the needs of elderly patients. Patients without our services would be denied the medical services needed to survive safely. We provide on the spot attention to dialysis patients, discharges and doctor appointments daily throughout the states of Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama. We started providing services Jun 2019. We are essentially assigned clients who need special attention and assistance to be transported by wheelchair and stretcher in Georgia and wheelchair and ambulatory clients in North Carolina and Alabama. We provide drivers the necessary equipment to be the most effective. We provide driver in their assigned areas to be the most efficient in getting the clients to and from their appointments daily, weekly and monthly. We strive to make our drivers' job as pleasant as possible and with the greatest ability to showcase their motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, confidence, dependability, organization, planning and problem-solving skills.
