Overview
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). This is a hospital-based ED assignment, full-time travel temporary work handling acuity patients, trauma activation, and routine emergencies in a high-volume environment. A valid RN license and current certifications are required to support rapid credentialing and onboarding.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ED patients, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency procedures within scope of practice; promptly respond to changes in patient status.
- Participate in interprofessional teamwork with physicians, PAs/NPs, and allied staff; communicate plan of care clearly.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record; ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain ED readiness, assist with procedures, monitor critical equipment, and support infection control and patient safety practices.
- Recognize and escalate life threats, manage codes or rapid response events per protocol, and provide compassionate family communication.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER/ED nursing experience
- Certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, PALS, ACLS
- Ability to work 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts; comfortable with 12-hour night duty
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week; 13-week assignment
- Travel - Temporary Assignment eligibility; no local candidates within 50 miles
