Childcare Kitchen Floater

Summary

This is a Split Shift Job for a childcare center. The first 5 hour shift requires the kitchen floater to prepare am snack, lunch, for about 16-20 children and dinner for about 40 kids. The kitchen duty time will be from 8:00am - 1:00pm. There will be a 2 hour break in between. The afterschool teacher position will begin at 3:00pm - 6:00pm.

Duties

5 hour position
Overseeing all operations of the kitchen according to state and health regulations, and Starr Kidz Academy guidelines
• sweep, mop wipe down and sanitize kitchen to its entirety at the end of each day..
Working in conjunction with the Director to create school menus that meet state regulations and Starr Kidz Academy guidelines
All menus completed in minute menu in its entirety for the month by the first Monday of the month.

Inventory and Order all necessary foods and supplies for meal, food service, laundry and housekeeping needs
•
Preparing and delivering meals and snacks to classrooms in a timely manner according to schedules.

Maintain and track food allergies (listed on kitchen wall) for each child in our center, ensuring their safety, and communicate any identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery

Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase all necessary food and supplies and keep inventory records as local and state agencies require

Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children, listen, and communicate effectively

Be flexible and adaptable to the daily business needs of a childcare center

* After school position
- 3 hour position

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons for students.

• Always supervise and ensure the safety of students.
• Provide homework assistance and academic support.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.

- cleaning of bathrooms, sinks, cleaning of classroom area, cleaning of reception area and hallway in front of kitchen (sweep, mop, wipe down anything in those areas ex (chairs, desks, cabinet ) sweep and mop step area, vacuum front rugs.

Requirements

Cook and meal prep from 8:00am-1:00pm
Break 1:00pm-3:00pm
Afterschool teacher 3:00-6:00pm
