We are currently seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who thrives working independently, enjoys variety in their day-to-day, and values customer satisfaction. You’ll operate from a fully equipped mobile service van, providing off-site maintenance and repairs that bring convenience and expertise directly to our customers.
Position OverviewAs a Mobile Service Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on Ford and Lincoln vehicles outside of the dealership environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting brake repairs, pre- and post-collision diagnostic scans, and performing routine services. This role requires master-level technician skills, independence, and a customer-first mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform offsite repairs and maintenance using a mobile service van.
Complete brake repairs, replacements, welding, and diesel engine work.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections in the field.
Diagnose mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed using proprietary applications.
Adhere to environmental policies, federal regulations, and dealership standards.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and supervise apprentice technicians when necessary.
Maintain company-issued service vehicle and equipment in excellent condition.
Valid driver’s license.
Master technician skills with ability to work independently.
On-call availability.
Strong mechanical and automotive knowledge; electrical background preferred.
ASE and I-CAR certifications preferred (not required).
Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
Professional attitude, customer service focus, and commitment to a clean, safe work environment.
Ability to lift/move heavy parts and equipment.
Use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding tools.
Routine testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting of diesel engines and vehicle systems.
Occasional road testing of vehicles to verify repairs.
This role is highly mobile and requires adaptability. You’ll perform repairs and maintenance at customer locations, leveraging a fully equipped service van. Success in this position requires effective time management, independence, and the ability to perform a wide range of mechanical tasks on-site.
