Line Cook

Shuckers Oyster House in Carrollton, GA is looking for one dedicated line cook to join our amazing team. We are located at 481 Rome Street in Downtown Carrollton, GA. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable. We are a family-owned restaurant in business since 1998 with a strong history of keeping great people employed for a very long time. Our lack of turn over speaks to the people we employ, and how we treat them. Shuckers is a Unicorn of a restaurant Job with Two back-to-Back off days weekly creating what we like to call a Restaurant Weekend. Being closed on Sunday and Monday gives our team a chance to relax and get the quality family time all food service workers long for and need. Doubling down on the Family First Culture Shuckers has three weeks of Vacation built in at the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas with every New Years Eve off as well. We are extremely flexible with Schedule provided we have coverage and plenty of notice. This truly is a great place to work for the right self-driven person looking for long time employment. Any Chef, Cook, Line Cook, or person with a ton of back of the house experience to the front of the line. If you are not a self-starter and require micromanagement at a high level this may not be the job for you.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Keep your work station at a high level at all times
• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and preform other food preparation.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Learn and replicate the Shuckers way at a High Level
• Stock inventory, Shuck Oysters, Smile
• Be on time and limit call outs to Dr. Note level sickness. We are small family owned and rely heavily on our people to operate.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments
• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
• Strong attention to detail. We are successful because we care. You MUST care about quality execution to work here.
• Shifts are usually 3:00-10:30 Mon-Thurs
• 2:00-11:30 Fri and Sat
• Closed EVERY SUN-MON
• There is some Flexibility in these hours so let's have a conversation.
