Field Service Technician – Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Location: Savannah, GA
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in supporting fuel cell products used in electric lift trucks. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fuel cells at customer sites, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems. This position involves working directly with customers, including lift truck operators, and requires strong technical skills as well as effective communication.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Service: Perform regular maintenance and service of hydrogen fuel cells at customer locations to ensure efficient operation.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with fuel cell systems, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
Upgrades & Retrofits: Carry out field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to improve existing systems.
Emergency Support: Provide on-demand support to customers for unexpected breakdowns or system failures.
Parts Ordering & Inventory Management: Order and maintain the necessary tools, parts, and equipment for servicing fuel cells.
System Communication: Work with customer personnel, lift truck operators, and hydrogen suppliers to provide ongoing support and maintain smooth operations.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete service logs, incident reports, inventory records, and other administrative tasks as required.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety procedures are followed at customer sites.
Travel: Travel to customer locations as required, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical electrical coursework.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Formal training may be considered in lieu of direct experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Technical Skills: Comfortable with computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with lift truck operations is preferred.
Key Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Work Environment: You’ll be working in a field-based role, often on customer sites, and will be expected to manage your time effectively while maintaining a high standard of work.
Tools: Technician must provide their own standard set of tools; specific fuel cell tools will be provided by the company.
