Facilities Engineering Manager
Talent Consultants is seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee our client's facility operations and engineering projects. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing the design, maintenance, and improvement of facility systems, ensuring that all operations comply with safety regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in facilities engineering, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will collaborate with other departments to optimize operational processes, manage budgets, and lead a team of engineers and technicians in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, maintenance, and improvement of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Manage facilities-related engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications and budget constraints.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for facility operations, maintenance, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility systems to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to promote professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for facilities operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance the organization's facilities management strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in facilities engineering or management, with a focus on multi-disciplinary systems.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and resource management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
