The execution of Optum Distribution Center functions includes, but not limited to receiving of devices, and non-serialized items, testing, installation, and cleaning medical devices and associated non-serialized items preparation, and assembly of devices inventory cycle counting and management and shipping to members or patients. Special project management as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Positivity represents the company to both internal and external customers; always maintain a professional and courteous manner
  • Uphold the Optum core values in the conduct of work
  • Adhere to company privacy guidelines; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Follow Optum policies and procedures and adhere to state or federal regulatory requirements
  • Serve on organization committees as requested; participate in staff meetings
  • Process documentation and results accurately and timely
  • Actively participate in Optum quality improvement initiatives
  • Operates all equipment including lift trucks safely and in performance with standards
  • Identifies and reports any safety concerns or operational problems to management for correction
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the work area and related grounds
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • The duties below require training prior to performing the functions/ duties and the standard operating procedures must be followed:
    • Device receiving and non-serialized receiving
    • Testing, installation, and cleaning of medical devices and associated non-serialized supplies
    • Assembly of medical devices and associated supplies according to the bill of material
    • Device linking (if applicable) and shipping to members and patients
    • Inventory management including cycle counting

Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 to 18 months of relative work experience
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet and e-mail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous related warehouse experience
  • Previous experience with electronic devices and/or software
