Safety Specialist

TRC Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the construction equipment industry to hire an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join their team!

About This Role

Youll act as a self-motivated, individual contributor in safety and EHS, with a focus on manufacturing processes and ergonomic assessments powered by AI-enhanced procedure software.

• Location: Griffin, GA (Onsite)

• Role Type : Contract to Hire

What You'll Be Doing

• Identify and assess common safety, health, and environmental hazards in manufacturing operations.

• Conduct ergonomic assessments using AI-based procedure software to reduce workplace strain and injury risk.

• Develop and deliver EHS training tailored to facility needs and regulatory requirements.

• Audit and evaluate safety programs, ensuring compliance with Caterpillar standards, OSHA regulations, and Lawson local requirements where applicable.

• Track, analyze, and report safety performance trends; recommend corrective or improvement actions as needed.

• Support safety culture initiatives such as Human & Organizational Performance (HOP), continuous improvement projects, and leadership development

• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate safety and ergonomics seamlessly into manufacturing workflows.

• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, focusing on ergonomic-related incidents.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical field.

• Experience in manufacturing environments with a strong grasp of facility safety practices and ergonomics.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct ergonomic assessmentsespecially using AI or advanced software tools.

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA) and experience implementing EHS policies

• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.

• Self-starter with minimal supervision and keen attention to detail.
