Position Summary
The Accounting Firm Success Manager is responsible for driving growth and retention across our franchise network. This role will proactively engage with firm owners to improve performance, identify growth opportunities, and resolve challenges. Additionally, the Firm Success Manager will lead the onboarding process for new firms, ensuring they are set up for success and confident in their decision to join Padgett. This is a high-impact role that combines data-driven insights, relationship-building, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive Performance Management
· Lead proactive outreach to firms based on performance data, providing actionable insights and solutions.
· Compare individual firm data against network benchmarks and identify underperformance trends.
· Partner with firm owners to solve deficiencies and implement growth strategies. Track and report on key performance metrics, including revenue growth (target: 10% YoY).
· Update Operations EOS metrics monthly.
· Compile annual scorecards from internally gathered data.
· Lead change-management efforts by identifying objections to adoption of Padgett’s preferred technology stack and developing strategies to drive network implementation.
Revenue Optimization
· Analyze compiled firm financial data to identify opportunities to optimize royalties collected from each firm.
· Collaborate with the executive team to recommend improvements based on financial analysis and market trends.
· Identify training gaps across the network and oversee the sourcing or development of solutions.
New Firm Onboarding
· Manage the full onboarding process for new firm owners, from initial training to full adoption.
· Provide accountability and guidance through the first twelve months, coordinating internal resources and subject matter experts as needed.
· Conduct regular outreach to keep new firms engaged and ensure a smooth experience.
· Build trust with new owners by resolving issues quickly and reinforcing Padgett’s commitment to their success.
Qualifications
· Experience: 5+ years in client success, practice management, firm operations, or business consulting. Experience in public accounting or working with public accounting firms strongly preferred.
· Skills:
o Skilled at creating and managing detailed project plans, tracking milestones, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
o Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze P&Ls, balance sheets, and benchmarking data.
o Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
o Proficient at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
o Comfortable using data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
o Skilled at documenting SOPs, workflows, and improvement plans in repeatable format.
o Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to engage, coach, and influence firm owners and stakeholders.
· Technology competencies :
o Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
o Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
o HubSpot
o Video conferencing (Teams, Zoom)
· Mindset: Solutions-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and excited to help small business owners succeed.
· Location: Ability to spend time in Athens, GA, for initial training and periodically thereafter. Travel to events and franchisee offices across the US, estimated to be 6-10 trips annually.
Key Success Metrics
· New firm retention rate: 100% through year one
· Average revenue growth across network: 10% YoY
· Timely and accurate delivery of onboarding milestones, scorecards, and EOS metrics
