Job Description

Security Guard works assigned access control points and patrols terminal to protect life and property. Responsible for providing security services for company interests. Investigate incidents and other related breaches of facility security. Upholds company values to promote Safety and Integrity. Promotes a safe work environment by participating in safety initiatives and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviors.

JOB DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Works at controlled access areas and documents related activity.

Patrols and safeguards restricted marine terminal and other company properties.

Reports observed hazards, or other conditions compromising the safety and security of the marine terminal.

Monitors docking and sailing vessels, boards vessel via gangway or other methods.

Investigate incidents and write detailed reports that are complete, accurate and concise.

Performs traffic control.

Responds to all unusual activities or events that are security related.
Responsible for cleanliness at workstations.

Patrols buildings and grounds, docks, and warehouses.

Issue Hot Work permits and follow Fire-watch policies and procedures.

Provides escort duties for non-TWIC card holders through the facility as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications:
Flexible schedule; rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
High School diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to qualify for TWIC Card
Pass Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
