*Department Information*

The Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy hosts an American Chemical Society accredited chemistry program. The chemistry program is supported by state-of-the-art instrumentation, including a 400 MHz 9.4 T NMR Spectrometer, SPD-20A Shimadzu HPLC, Agilent 8860GC-5977B MSD, IRAffinity-1S FTIR, MacroRam Raman Spectrometer, and UV-2600i UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, among others.

*Job Summary*

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy at Georgia College and State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position in Chemistry to begin August 2026. This position will teach courses in the first-year chemistry sequence in studio-lab format, organic chemistry and physical science for education majors at the undergraduate level.

*Educational Requirements*
Terminal degree in a closely related field.

Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements as stated in C.S. 3.7.1 ( (faculty credentials)).

*Preferred Qualifications*

* Experience with active learning pedagogies.
* Experience supervising laboratory assistants.
* Instructor of record for college level classes in the related discipline
