As a Complex Cardio Coder , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement for intricate cardiology procedures. You’ll review clinical documentation, assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, all while collaborating closely with providers and client teams to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Review and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for complex cardiology procedures including echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac caths, EP studies, and device implants.
• Abstract and validate clinical data for accurate diagnoses, procedures, and discharge details.
• Confirm APC assignments and E/M codes to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Partner with providers and client staff to clarify documentation and uphold compliance.
• Stay current with industry updates through continuing education and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2+ years of hands-on medical coding experience , ideally in cardiology or related specialties.*
• Active CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification (AHIMA/AAPC).
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, DRG/APC, and compliance standards.
• Experience using Epic, Cerner, 3M360, Optum, or similar EHR/coding platforms.
• Accuracy rate of 95%+ with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
