Diesel Fleet Maintenance Foreman — Concrete Pump Equipment
Lead the Shop. Keep the Fleet Moving.
Step into a hands-on leadership role overseeing service and repair work for a mixed fleet of diesel engines, concrete pumps, trucks, trailers, and power tools. You’ll troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and execute both major and minor repairs—safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. You’ll also set daily priorities, coordinate with your supervisor, and guide assistant mechanics/oiler and part-time techs to keep uptime high and standards uncompromised.
What You’ll Do
- Champion safety: follow all company safety rules and operating procedures, and promptly report unsafe practices to your supervisor.
- Own the workflow: keep repair tickets organized and provide a weekly total workload update to your supervisor.
- Set priorities: schedule work for yourself and for assistant mechanics/oiler.
- Maintain a spotless, safe shop environment aligned with company guidelines.
- Operate the full range of fleet assets: vehicles, concrete pumps, equipment, and tools.
- Perform major/minor repairs across vehicles, concrete pumps, trailers, power-operated equipment, and hand tools.
- Document work precisely: record time and parts used on each work order in computer and/or paper systems.
- Support DOT readiness: assist with transportation/DOT maintenance and repair procedures—DOT fleet standards are critical here.
- Adapt as needed: handle other duties as apparent or as assigned by your supervisor.
- Bring and maintain a quality personal tool set suitable for all assigned tasks.
- Cross-train with other departments to better serve internal and external customers.
- Plan for an average 45-hour workweek.
How You Lead and Collaborate
