Chief Operating Officer (Atlanta)
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and process-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence across a rapidly-growing automotive aftermarket supplier. This executive will be responsible for standardizing systems, processes, and best practices across an organization built through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The COO will drive cohesion and operational alignment across more than a dozen locations throughout the eastern and southeastern United States.
*The role will require regular travel (up to 75%) across the eastern and southeastern US. The position can sit remotely ideally in a market near an airport for ease of travel.*
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized operational systems and processes across all locations.
- Lead integration efforts for newly acquired businesses, ensuring seamless operational alignment.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operations with strategic goals.
- Oversee supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and facility operations.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in executive operations leadership, ideally within the automotive aftermarket or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-site operations and post-acquisition integration.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Masters degree (MBA or related) strongly preferred.
- Exceptional Financial acumen to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and hidden problem areas
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to travel regularly across regional locations.
