Position Summary

The Senior Director, Clinical Quality Governance & Regulatory will provide strategic oversight for clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, credentialing, peer review, and regulatory compliance. This senior leader will serve as a key partner to local and national boards, ensuring effective governance, quality performance, and accountability across health plan and care delivery operations.

Primary Functions

• Oversee clinical quality and patient safety management programs including budgets, evaluations, and revisions
• Prepare internal and external reports and consultation services
• Lead education initiatives and measurement of outcomes
• Develop improvement strategies related to clinical, accreditation, regulatory, and licensing standards
• Establish standards for evaluation and implementation of evidence-based guidelines
• Lead collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation of clinical data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop strategies for quality improvement education and process changes
• Monitor, report on, and develop mitigation plans for occurrences that may lead to liability
• Support continuous survey readiness programs
• Develop strategic relationships with government and regulatory agencies
• Build organizational capacity and prepare high potentials for advancement
• Recruit, select, and develop talent while staying current with industry trends
• Act as a thought leader on industry best practices and benchmarks
