This per diem position offers a unique opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses committed to supporting the academic, behavioral, and social development of students in a school environment. Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under teacher supervision
• Assist students with daily routines, managing transitions, and encouraging classroom participation
• Implement and follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in Alabama
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Compliance with TB testing according to district policies
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain required clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or training in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Preventive Measures Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a plus
• Demonstrates reliability, patience, and a team-oriented mindset
