Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role involves processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring payments are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities: - Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding. - Match purchase orders and receipts to invoices to confirm proper documentation and approvals. - Reconcile the accounts payable ledger and vendor statements regularly to maintain accurate records. - Address vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues promptly. - Assist in executing weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. - Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls during payment processing. - Prepare accounts payable aging reports and contribute to month-end closing activities. - Collaborate with the finance team on audits or special projects as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field. - Proficiency in processing invoices and account coding. - Familiarity with automated payment methods, such as ACH and wire transfers. - Experience with check runs and financial management tools like QuickBooks. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to resolve vendor discrepancies effectively and professionally. - Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices. - Excellent communication skills for managing vendor relationships.
