Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized role is available for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department expertise to support a high-volume Level 1 trauma centers float pool. This position focuses primarily on the emergency department, providing critical care to boarder patients from med/surg, stepdown, or ICU units. The role may also require flexibility to float to acute care units as needed, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver acute nursing care in a busy emergency department environment
- Monitor and manage boarder patients from various units including med/surg and ICU
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adapt to float assignments in acute units as staffing needs arise
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records according to facility standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma center Emergency Department
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications
- A clean and continuous employment record with no work gaps
- Proven competence demonstrated by an ED skills checklist and strong ED references
- Professional presentation, including up-to-date badge photo and complete demographic information
