What You'll Do as a Data Migration Specialist:

• Analyze current & target document management systems (DMS) to design effective migration plans.
• Transfer documents & metadata between systems using ETL processes.
• Perform migrations from local servers to cloud platforms and between different cloud systems.
• Configure & fine-tune migration tools to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Partner with clients & team members to define requirements and scope for each project.
• Test & validate migrated data to confirm successful results.
• Troubleshoot & resolve migration challenges quickly.
• Document processes, tools, and outcomes for future reference.

Our Ideal Data Migration Specialist:

• Experienced: 2+ years with MSSQL (T-SQL scripting, performance tuning, and data transformation) or related programming/database administration. Firm grasp of data mapping, metadata handling, and system integration. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Tech-savvy: Comfortable with both on-premises and cloud systems; familiar with document management concepts and platforms such as SharePoint (strongly preferred), iManage, OpenText, NetDocuments, Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive.
• Problem-solver: Approaches challenges with curiosity and confidence; not conflict-averse and able to adapt quickly in complex situations.
• Collaborative: Works well with others, communicates clearly, and embraces new ideas.
• Detail-oriented: Focuses on accuracy, organization, and consistency under pressure.
• Bonus Skills: Proficiency with Mac Office Suite. Extra credit for SQL experience, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace), C#, or APIs/automation scripting for migrations.
