A Day in the Field

Your day begins with a route on your company-provided tablet. You load your well-stocked service vehicle, tap your gas card on the way, and head to a customer site. An electric lift truck is down—production is waiting. You diagnose swiftly, drawing on your knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and engines. You complete a safety inspection, perform the repair, document the work in our work order system, and walk the customer through your findings with professionalism and pride. In the afternoon, you switch gears to preventative maintenance on a diesel and LP fleet, then finish by organizing your parts inventory and preparing for tomorrow.

What You’ll Tackle

• Field diagnostics and repair of forklifts and material handling equipment across gas, diesel, LP, and electric platforms
• Planned maintenance and comprehensive safety inspections
• Clear documentation in our work order management system and professional customer communication
• Care of your service vehicle, tool set, and on-hand parts
• Serving as a trusted LiftOne ambassador at every site you visit

Your Background

• 2+ years in material handling or related experience in automotive, diesel, military, or heavy equipment mechanics
• Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Comfort working independently in the field with local travel
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• A customer-first attitude and positive, solutions-oriented approach
• Familiarity with ServiceMax or similar computerized maintenance/work order tools preferred
• A safety-first mindset, following company and customer protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the equipment you service
