Responsibilities

• Able to read blueprints, schematics, & drawings
• Has a working knowledge and ability to refer to the current National Electrical Code
• Hours: Monday - Friday | 8-hour shifts
• Perform Underground Piping and electrical prep work
• Install Rough & electrical trim as needed
• Pull wire, terminate, and connect electrical components
• Install conduit, rigid, and other conduits for wire
• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures
• Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Perform semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Wears personal protective equipment when required (such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots, respirator, hearing protection, fall protection, cut resistant gloves, etc.)
• Maintains tools, equipment, supplies, and work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
• Transports tools and materials. This may include walking and carrying objects up to 50 pounds from one location to another, sometimes up stairs, over gravel, pushing or pulling equipment with or without the assistance of co-worker(s)
• Bends, stoops, and must regain balance upon standing when installing electrical boxes, pipes, etc. that frequently span from floor to ceiling level
• Performs lifting, positioning, holding, fastening, drilling, or hammering objects, such as conduit, motors, fixtures, poles, and other objects for installation or removal
• Pulls wire of all gauges, with or without the assistance of others
• Work in restricted areas, often in cramped places that require getting into awkward positions (switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, etc.)
• Perform work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other areas occasionally or as the job requires

Skills

• Be at least 18+ years of age
• 5 or more years of proven experience as an Electrician (7-8 or more preferred)
• Proficient with electrical processes & codes
• Competent with reading blueprints, drawings, & diagrams
• Ability to bend and run conduit
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prior experience in the commercial field preferred
• Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, & conduit benders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to pass any required Background, Drug Testing, & other site requirements for any job accepted

You should be proficient in:

• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
• Construction Site Installation
