About the Role
The Production Planner Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes within the non-durable goods sector. This onsite role at our Jackson, GA plant is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align with customer demand and inventory levels, ultimately driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
The successful candidate will analyze production data and collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime. By forecasting production needs and adjusting schedules accordingly, the Production Planner Scheduler will contribute to meeting production targets, enhancing productivity, and ensuring our products are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
- Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM or similar).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand or unexpected delays.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and implement process improvements.
- Provide timely updates on production status and resolve scheduling conflicts through effective communication.
Skills
The role requires strong analytical abilities to interpret production data and make sound scheduling decisions. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating across departments and keeping production aligned with business goals. Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning tools will enable efficient scheduling and progress tracking. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles will support continuous improvement and process optimization. These skills will be applied daily to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the success of the Jackson, GA manufacturing team.
