The Dermatology Training Program for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) is designed to equip healthcare professionals with specialized knowledge and skills in dermatology. This program focuses on enhancing clinical competencies in diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions. Participants will engage in hands-on training, case studies, and mentorship to develop their expertise in dermatological care.

This is a one year Dermatology training program.

Current certification as a Physician Assistant./NP
State license as a Physician Assistant./NP

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Completion of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Active NP or PA license with no restrictions.
- Strong interest in dermatology and a commitment to learning in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in areas such as case management, urgent care, or utilization management is beneficial.
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and maintaining detailed medical documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year equal to 3rd year medical doctor resident

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations in dermatology.
• Administer treatments including botulinum toxin and IV insertion as needed.
• Provide urgent care and patient education on skin health and conditions.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans using EHR systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize effective communication skills to interact with patients, including Spanish-speaking individuals.
