Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are handled safely and accurately, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, stack, and store materials in designated areas.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking.
• Assist with order picking and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and address any operational issues.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including cranes and order pickers.
• Strong understanding of materials handling processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or be willing to obtain one.
