Cloud Solutions Architect

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at McKeenix you will partner with our clients to design build and implement advanced cloud solutions that align with their business strategy. Youll lead cloud adoption drive migrations ensure security and scalability and provide expert technical guidance. Your role bridges the gap between business goals and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze clients current infrastructure applications and business requirements to develop cloud adoption strategies.

Architect scalable secure and cost-efficient cloud solutions across IaaS PaaS and SaaS models.

Design for high availability fault tolerance disaster recovery and business continuity.

Recommend and select appropriate cloud services (compute storage networking) based on performance cost and security.

Define and enforce cloud governance policies including security identity and access management and compliance.

Lead migrations of on-premises workloads to the cloud or between cloud environments ensuring minimal disruption.

Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable efficient deployments.

Monitor cloud system performance and cost; constantly optimize resource usage.

Provide technical leadership mentoring and training to both internal teams and client engineers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as development security operations to integrate cloud architecture with business processes.

Produce architecture diagrams design documentation and executive-level presentations.

Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies trends and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience.

5 years of experience working in cloud architecture infrastructure design or cloud engineering.

Deep knowledge of one or more major cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).

Strong understanding of networking virtualization databases and system architecture.

Solid experience with cloud security including identity & access management encryption and secure network design.

Experience with cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.

Proven track record leading cloud migration and deployment projects.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Google Cloud Architect or similar.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting advisory or professional services. Hands-on experience with security assessments architecture design and risk management. Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST Cybersecurity Framework CIS Controls). Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCI-DSS) is preferred. Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS Azure GCP) identity management encryption and network security. Excellent communication skills both technical and non-technical with experience presenting to executives and technical teams. Consulting mindset: strong problem-solving client-facing experience and ability to lead engagements. Certifications such as CISSP CISM CRISC or equivalent are a plus.
