- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners.
- Conduct regular client meetings to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Develop and submit detailed proposals and bids for electrical contracting projects.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Project Coordination:
- Work with project management and estimating teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate client requirements and expectations to internal teams.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project details in CRM software.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Manager/Director
- Prepare and present sales performance metrics to senior management.
- Networking and Industry Involvement:
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services.
- Stay updated on industry developments, best practices, and competitor activities.
- Participate in relevant professional organizations and associations.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Electrical Sales, Electrical Contracting or the construction industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of electrical contracting services and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to visit client sites and conduct on-site evaluations.
- Ability to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.
- Work Environment:
- This position typically works in an office setting, but frequent visits to client sites and occasional travel are required.
- Attendance at industry events and trade shows may be necessary.
