Travel Cytotechnologist Job
Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist for travel assignments in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and research facilities. The ideal candidate will analyze cellular specimens to detect abnormalities, including cancer and infectious diseases, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, stain, and examine cellular samples under a microscope.
- Identify cellular abnormalities and report findings to pathologists.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment used in cytological analysis.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Document findings accurately and maintain patient records.
- Travel to different healthcare facilities based on assignment needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
- Certification: ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of cytology experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments and relocate as needed.
