Bloom Talent Solutions is proud to partner with a privately held landscaping company seeking a trusted Financial Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and elevate financial visibility across the organization. This is a hands-on, high-impact role working directly with ownership in a growing, operations-driven business.
Drive Financial Clarity & Operational Insight
This role is central to the company’s financial health and decision-making. As Financial Controller, you’ll own core accounting functions, strengthen reporting by division, and improve visibility into margins, job costing, and cash flow. This is a role for someone who can roll up their sleeves while also thinking strategically about systems, controls, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and cash management
- Manage the monthly close process , including reconciliations
- Coordinate with external CPA and accounting partners
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and maintain internal financial statements by division
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Improve gross margin visibility at the division and account level
Systems & Process Improvement
- Work within QuickBooks Online, LMN, BambooHR, and Excel
- Reduce reliance on fragmented spreadsheets
- Improve data accuracy, consistency, and internal controls
Leadership & Trust
- Operate with a high level of autonomy and ownership
- Serve as a financial thought partner to company ownership
- Potential to manage and build support staff as the function scales
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Financial Controller or Senior-level Bookkeeper
- Background in construction, landscaping, or field services strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of job costing, labor, and materials-driven businesses
- Highly detail-oriented, precise, and trustworthy
- Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking ahead strategically

Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $90,000+ (commensurate with experience)
- Benefits: Health and standard benefits package
