Site Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all field activities and physical construction on site.
• Maintain and monitor the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Scheduler to develop and update progress schedules, including short-term look-aheads.
• Ensure thorough understanding and compliance with project contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor purchase orders.
• Verify completion of work for subcontractor and vendor invoicing and secure necessary lien releases.
• Obtain and manage all required permits and coordinate inspections, testing, and surveying as needed.
• Prepare and distribute daily logs, meeting agendas, and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols, including conducting weekly safety meetings and providing safety training.
• Monitor quality and workmanship to ensure finished products meet required standards.
• Develop and maintain a site utilization plan to optimize resources and workflow.
• Assist in identifying scope gaps or duplications in subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Request and review change order scopes and costs from subcontractors for processing.
• Direct and support field staff, ensuring adequate staffing and resource allocation.
• Generate, secure, and confirm all information needed to create, monitor, and modify project schedules.
• Prepare daily reports, job diaries, and other required documentation to track project progress.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and field operations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining project documentation.
• Experience with construction management software is a plus.
• Ability to lead and motivate on-site teams.
