As the Gunsmith , you will be responsible for the functions outlined below

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
• Repair and modify firearms to blueprint and customer specifications
• Use hand tools and machines such as grinders, planers, and millers
• May convert outdated rifles to current standards, or adapt factory-made rifles to the special needs of customers
• Preform function and accuracy testing on firearms
• Conduct preventative maintenance and cleaning on firearms
• Document warranty claims and repairs
• Assist the sales, marketing, and engineering teams with gunsmithing needs
• Observe and assist with customer communication to troubleshoot issues and find a solution
• Work directly with retailers to troubleshoot and fix range rental firearms
• Clear and concise communication to the customer on the root cause and detailed corrective action.
• Advise the quality and manufacturing teams on common warranty issues
• Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
• Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity
• Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical two year gunsmithing degree or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• High degree of experience in how to handle and operate firearms
• Understand the various assembly requirements for handguns, rifles, and shotguns
• Must be able to attach optical sights, pistol grips, and recoil pads, barrels, and any other accessories in accordance with manufacturer instructions
• Considerable time spent doing practical shop work, which covers parts design, barrel fitting, soldering, and welding, and
• Experience with grinders, drill presses, lathes, saws, drills and various metal working tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
• Travel up to 5% of the year
