AI Engineer
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking an AI Engineer. We value experience, but even more important to us is the willingness and ability to continuously learn, as AI/ML is constantly evolving. We are looking for great teammates, who are nice people and happen to be extremely good at what they do. Summary: As an AI Engineer, you will create, maintain, and improve a range of production AI/ML services that provide value to real users, using the best and most appropriate technologies from the rapidly evolving AI landscape. You will work closely with other AI engineers, software developers, systems engineers, product managers, and the UX team, among others, to help create AI-driven product features. This is an individual contributor role. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Gain experience with the latest AI technologies to generate actual value for real users
- Work remotely (from the US with - one trip to HQ in Atlanta each quarter)
- Build both prototypes and work on mature production AI/ML systems
- Learn from and share knowledge with great co-workers and make the most of a generous learning budget
- Using the latest AI technologies to power specific features in our products
- Evaluating, experimenting, and iterating on LLM context engineering, agent workflows, and traditional ML models
- Monitoring and maintaining production models
- Working with Product and other Engineering teams to integrate our AI/ML features and services into our customer-facing products
- Providing tactical and strategic input on technical matters related to production AI/ML
- Learning new AI/ML techniques and best practices, and subject matter related to the business
- Working on a small, focused, awesome team to deliver outsized value to our customers using the latest AI/ML technologies
- 4 year degree (minimum) or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience working in the software industry
- Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, such as model evaluation
- Experience working with production AI/ML models
- Experience creating LLM-powered services and features
- Ability to write and maintain high quality code (Python) that is used by others
- Ability and desire to learn and implement new techniques, topics, and technologies
- Experience using AI-powered software development tools to enhance your productivity while avoiding slop
- Experience with the end-to-end AI/ML process (ideation, creation, deployment, and maintenance of models) at scale is a plus
- Experience with multiple LLM models, tools, and best practices, including emerging agent paradigms is a plus
- Experience with document processing using LLMs is a plus
- Experience mentoring teammates is a plus
- Experience with the AWS AI/ML/LLM stack is a plus
- Experience with uv to manage Python projects is a plus
