Assistant Director, Good Shepherd Presbyterian Preschool and Extended Day
Summary The Good Shepherd Preschool and Extended Day program of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Lilburn, Georgia is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Assistant Director. Good Shepherd Preschool has served children and families in the surrounding area for 45 years by offering a Christian educational environment where all children feel safe and loved. As a church mission, the preschool and extended day program nurtures and provides Christian outreach to children, their families and the staff who support them. The Assistant Director works with the Director, staff, and Preschool Team to oversee all operations of the program. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and current resume with at least two professional references. Duties Selected Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative support
- Assist the Preschool Director in planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily operations of the center.
- Manage scheduling for teachers, support staff, and substitute educators as needed.
- Helps to maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Supports the enrollment process by conducting tours, assisting with paperwork and orientation of prospective families.
- Participate in budget tracking and resource allocation under the guidance of the director.
- Relevant state or national certifications (such as CDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in preschool, daycare, or early childhood setting
