Key responsibilities
- Perform high-quality mammography examinations, including 2D and 3D tomosynthesis as available, ensuring optimal compression, positioning, and exposure settings.
- Verify patient history, explain procedures, manage comfort and privacy, and address questions with clear, compassionate communication.
- Ensure stringent image quality, conduct routine QA checks, calibrate equipment, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with safety standards and radiology protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images, participate in image review processes, and contribute to timely and precise reporting.
- Assist with biopsy coordination and localization protocols as needed, supporting the continuum of care from screening to diagnosis.
