Location : Canton GA
Hours: M-F 8-5 (Must be flexible several times a year for earlier or later hours)
Pay : $25.00 - $28.00/Hr.
Dress Code : Wear jeans and company shirt to work.
Benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k which is match 40% up to the first 6%. They pay 2 bonuses per year (July and December) depending on the company’s profits.
Job Description:
This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for managing salary records, timesheets, and payroll system, maintaining and processing mutli-state bi-weekly payroll, payroll reports, 401K, and other associated duties.
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 3 years experience in Payroll and Human Resources.
- Successfully completed ADP payroll processing and time management training
- Knowledge of federal and state mandated laws relative to employment.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
- Ability to interact with customers, coworkers and contractors in a polite and professional manner.
- ADP Time and Attendance, ADP Benefit accruals
- ADP Schedules (entering and maintain)
- Knowledge of Payroll laws, labor laws for overtime, shift premium, and hours.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for entries into ADP for HR administration and payroll processing in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
- Accurately calculate wages, deductions, overtime and bonuses.
- Manages the administration, coordination and distribution of employee forms and information as they relate to payroll (tax forms, notices, garnishments, employee deductions, etc.)
- Manage the flow and maintenance of employee data between payroll, HR and accounting.
- Respond to unemployment notices
- Prepare and distribute detailed reports to relevant departments.
- Works with management and employees in resolving payroll related issues in a constructive / professional manner
- Support year end payroll processing, including W-2s, 1095-C and other compliance reports.
- Assists external and internal auditors on audits
- Processes manual checks and voids related to payroll processing
- Prepares reports used to conduct 401K nondiscrimination testing
- Enters and maintains employee tax filing status and deduction records.
- Maintains employee files, filing on a timely basis
- Assist new employees with payroll onboarding, including setting up direct deposit and explaining payroll policies.
- Process employment verifications
- Ensure compliance with Federal and state payroll laws (wage garnishments. FLSA, tax regulations)
- Monthly benefit audits
- Maintain I9 files
- Maintain key card system and building cameras
- Maintain bulletin boards in your building
- Train new hires on ADP
- New hire orientation
- Create and maintain monthly overtime and pay allocation reports.
- Learn other area of the department to be the HR Customer Service person for employees,
- Hourly recruiting
- Other associated duties
