Coffee and Vending Machine Technician

As a Coffee Equipment & Vending Machine Technician, you will work with coffee equipment manufacturers, coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and customer locations to repair, troubleshoot, and install coffee machines and related vending technology. Your responsibilities include servicing commercial coffee equipment, inspecting and maintaining machines after installation, and supporting customers both in person and remotely (phone/email).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Drive a company service van or box truck to and from customer locations

• Load and unload equipment, parts, and products

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain all Capitol Coffee equipment and vending machine technology while following safety protocols

• Install coffee equipment and secure signed equipment loan agreements from customers

• Clean and maintain coffee equipment as needed

• Perform filter changes and CO₂ tank swaps as assigned

• Report vehicle issues and ensure routine vehicle maintenance is completed

• Maintain accurate service records using mobile devices

Physical Requirements

• Able to climb into and out of a truck cab and cargo area multiple times per shift

• On feet throughout the day in customer facilities

• Able to walk, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel

• Able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers and crimpers

• Must be able to safely lift 50–100 lbs from ground to counter height

• Frequently push/pull a hand cart up to 200 lbs for distances up to 500 feet

• Able to withstand exposure to outdoor weather conditions

• Must comply with company drug/alcohol policy

Competencies

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of coffee equipment and vending machine systems

• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, instructions, and training materials

• Able to maintain company records via smartphone, iPad, or laptop

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Strong decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving abilities

• Works effectively both independently and on a team

• Commitment to safety and security protocols

Requirements

• Must have prior experience servicing cofee equipment and vending machines

• Valid driver’s license required (for operating company vehicle)
