Overview
Packers, also known as warehouse packers or product packagers, play a crucial role in ensuring that goods are correctly packed, protected, and ready for shipment or storage. They work primarily in warehouses, fulfillment centers, or production facilities, handling items carefully to prevent damage and maintain quality standards
.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack products securely using materials such as bubble wrap, foam, cardboard, or adhesives.
- Label packages accurately and sort them according to destination
- Load goods onto pallets, shipping containers, or delivery vehicles, ensuring even weight distribution
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Record packing information for inventory tracking and accountability.
- Operate packing tools and machinery, including shrink-wrapping machines, box cutters, pallet jacks, and forklifts when required.
- Follow company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
