Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the Cobb - VA North Clinic located in Marietta, GA. Join us in providing exceptional care to the men and women who have served our country.
Position Details:
- Location: Cobb VA North Clinic
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Type of Role: On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries
- Outpatient setting on site Direct Patient Care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.
- Provide 6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day.
- Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics.
- Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
- The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required.
- Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state.
- DEA Certification: Current and unrestricted DEA license.
- BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
