Senior Director of Sales - Behind the Meter (BTM)
Role Summary
The BTM Sales Manager is responsible for driving national revenue growth for RavenVolt’s behind-the-meter energy solutions, including power, reciprocating generators, microgrids, battery energy storage, switchgear, and other electrification-related solutions. This role blends strategic account leadership, sales team development, and hands-on deal execution to expand market penetration and increase share of wallet across commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure customers.
Salary:
Pay: $140,000 - $160,000The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own and execute the national BTM sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
· Develop and lead strategic growth initiatives across priority verticals and key accounts.
· Drive new business development while retaining existing customer relationships.
· Lead complex, high-value sales cycles from qualification through contract execution.
· Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customer decision-makers.
· Lead joint account planning processes establishing multi-year growth plans and financial targets.
· Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing national sales team.
· Ensure effective use of Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
· Oversee pricing strategy, proposals, and value-based financial modeling.
· Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure solution feasibility and customer success.
· Represent RavenVolt at industry events, customer briefings, and webinars.
· Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging BTM technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
· Proven success selling complex, value-based energy or technical solutions.
· Experience managing and scaling national or multi-region sales teams.
· Strong financial acumen and ROI-based selling experience.
· Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
· Experience working in matrixed technical and operational environments.
· Experience in BTM energy, microgrids, mobile power, or electrification solutions.
· Background in energy, utilities, power systems, or distributed energy resources
· Preferred experience with reciprocating generators for back-up power, power quality, and economics-driven use cases
