Senior Procurement Buyer (Direct Materials)

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing events, competitive bidding, and strategic supplier negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, ensure capacity, and enforce strict quality standards.

• Analyze complex procurement data and global market trends to uncover high-impact cost-saving opportunities, refine purchasing workflows, and mitigate supply chain risks.

• Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive data-informed purchasing decisions that boost productivity and overall profitability.

• Oversee key vendor relationships and long-term supplier agreements, performing ongoing performance evaluations and driving strategic supply base rationalization.

• Direct specialized tooling logistics programs by coordinating operational planning, dispatching, and maintenance schedules across partner sites.

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across purchasing operations to standardize policies, optimize systems, and eliminate process inefficiencies.

• Enforce complete compliance with industry regulatory standards, company procurement policies, and zero-incident safety and environmental stewardship guidelines across the supplier network.

• Local travel up to 50% to supplier facilities and operational hubs to conduct site audits, review tooling readiness, and execute key business negotiations in person.

• Foster a results-oriented, data-driven procurement culture while mentoring junior buyers to support long-term team development.
