Journeyman Operator (JO) – Language-Enabled

Geo Owl is seeking multiple individuals to become a part of an elite group. We are hiring Language-Enabled, Journeyman Geolocation Operators to join our highly skilled intelligence team in Augusta, GA. This role requires expertise in geolocation operations combined with foreign language proficiency to support critical national security missions. The ideal candidate possesses advanced technical skills, language capabilities, and a proven ability to provide direct mission support while mentoring less experienced operators.

Position Description

The Language-Enabled, Journeyman Geolocation Operator will conduct direct, on-site, real-time operations utilizing certified skills in passive geolocation methodologies and foreign language processing for real-world SIGINT missions. Operators will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring and developing the proficiency of less experienced team members.

  • Contributing to the improvement of tradecraft and training resources.

  • Applying both technical certifications and foreign language skills to mission requirements.

  • Supporting 24/7/365 operations, which may include rotating shift work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced geolocation operations using multiple technologies and methodologies.

  • Apply foreign language skills to process, interpret, translate, or analyze intelligence materials.

  • Produce accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence reports for operational and strategic use.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate geolocation and language data into intelligence production.

  • Maintain required certifications in basic operations and passive geolocation methods and technologies.

  • Develop increasingly complex geolocation and language competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Current certifications in basic operations and passive geolocation methods and technologies.

  • ILR Level-2 proficiency in at least one relevant foreign language.

  • Equivalent of four (4) years of full-time cryptologic language processing, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience (to include interpretation, translation, gisting, document analysis, teaching, or other skills related to intelligence analysis and production).

  • Collector, Passive, and Search and Survey certifications required.

  • Performance at skill level 2 in audio translation (per ILR Audio Translation skill level descriptions) from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English (documented proficiency within two (2) years of resume submission).

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain increasingly complex geolocation and language competencies.
