Production and Inventory Coordinator
Job Title: Production and Inventory Coordinator
The Produciton and Inventory Coordinator will ensure that production schedules are met and shipments to customers are completed on time. The Production and Inventory Coordinator works with functional departments such as Production, Planning, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Shipping.
What you will do:
- Schedule and coordinate the production jobs based on customer order priorities, availability of raw materials and production capacity
- Manage the inventory of parts and supplies to complete production jobs
- Move and allocate materials to production work centers per the job requirements
- Perform periodic cycle counts on the production floor to maintain inventory accuracy
- Monitor production progress and communicate delays or material shortages to Planning
- Track inventory movement and ensure proper system transactions in ERP
- Serve as a liaison between Planning, Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production flow and inventory accuracy
- Provide administrative assistance to the department supervisors/managers as needed
- Follow company, industry, state, federal safety standard
- Follow established company SOP and ISO Guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
What you will need:
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- 2-3 years of experience in purchasing/production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment or similar experience
- Able to obtain respirator certification upon hire
What you will bring:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
- Good organization skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Communication skills a must
- Strong attention to detail
