Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Austin, TX 78704 – Enjoy Texas healthcare opportunities in a city famous for live music, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community.
• Healthcare Setting: Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1460 - $1500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, IMC, or PCU nursing jobs
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience with potent non-titratable drips
• Skilled in caring for respiratory patients (tracheostomies, BiPAP, Airvo)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient conditions
• Administer and monitor potent non-titratable drips for cardiac patients
• Provide respiratory care for patients with tracheostomies and those on BiPAP or Airvo
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Float as needed to Telemetry and TCU stepdown units
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy scrubs)
